Who we are
The Grind is an incremental tower defense game operated by an independent developer in the Netherlands. Contact: mgmikeymg@gmail.com.
Privacy
- Your game progress is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and in save codes you export yourself. We do not run accounts and we do not store your progress on our servers.
- We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data.
- On thegrindgame.vercel.app we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are opened. Copies of the game distributed through game portals contain no analytics at all and make no requests off the page. Where it runs, it is cookieless and does not follow you across other websites; it records only aggregate technical data such as page, referrer, country, browser and device type. It is not tied to your save or to any account.
- Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to serve the site; see the Vercel privacy policy.
- Purchases exist only in the version on thegrindgame.vercel.app and on itch.io; portal copies have no store and no payment route. Where purchases are enabled, payment is handled by a payment provider acting as merchant of record; we never see your card details. The provider shares only what is needed to deliver your purchase (such as a receipt reference).
Terms of use
- The Grind is provided as is, in early access. Content, balance and features can change at any time; progress may be affected by updates.
- Clearing your browser storage deletes your local save. Export a save code from the game to keep a backup; we cannot recover lost saves.
- Redeem codes are single-purpose and non-transferable once used. Do not buy codes from anyone other than our official store pages.
- Virtual currencies and items have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged, refunded for money once consumed, or transferred.
- For purchases, EU consumers have statutory rights via the merchant of record, including its refund process. Purchases by minors require consent of a parent or guardian.
- Do not abuse, reverse-bill or attempt to defraud the store. We may invalidate codes obtained fraudulently.
